Now, these numbers sound impressive, but what are the facts behind them?
This maple syrup diet is based on the detoxication abilities of some of it ingredients. Furthermore, the idea for this diet originates form certain diets that were used almost 60 years ago. Those diets were used in order to help people detoxicate their bodies. Today this diet has also, beside the detoxication purpose, the purpose to help you burn the extra amounts of fat you have in your body.
How Does It Work?
Basically, maple syrup diet is a liquid diet. What this means is that for the period during which you are on this diet, you will not be eating any solid food whatsoever. Now, that may seem a little scary, but it is important to remember, that if you do this diet properly, and make sure you regularly take all of the ingredients that are prescribed in it, you will be getting all of the necessary nutritional ingredients that are necessary for your body.
The maple syrup diet itself is also very simple. You are to take your diet mix, that is consisting out of lemon juice, freshly squeezed, maple syrup ( make sure it’s the grade B one), and cayenne pepper. You should take this mix a couple of times a day, first time just after you get up in the morning, and the always before you go to bed. It is as simple as that.
The Problems
The main problem perceived with the maple syrup diet is that people claim that they can`t stand the hunger. This is, so they say, especially true for the first three days of the maple syrup diet. Now, although that sounds really scarry, the thing is that our metabolism work at a certain rate, because it is accustomed to it. What that means is, that you are hungry three times a day, because you are accustomed to eat three times a day. So, the proponents of the maple syrup diet suggest that people using it should try and concentrate on other activities for the first three days of the diet, especially so at the times of the day during which they usually eat. After that, so they claim, the metabolism will alter itself, and adjust to the changed situation when it comes to food you are taking. So, after the first three days, they claim that the hunger will start fading away, and eventually will totally stop.
The Good Points
The good things about the maple syrup diet is that burns weight FAST. Really fast. The above mentioned figures of 20 pounds per 10 days are roughly right. So, if you are in a need of a quick weight loss, the maple syrup diet might be the solution for you. However, it is important to remember that this diet cannot be used as a permanent solution. After the period of 10 days, you should stop, and make a considerable break, to allow your body to recuperate.
